Radiation safety issues regarding the cremation of the body of an I-125 prostate implant patient

Abstract

Radiation exposure to the public is estimated if the body of an I-125 prostate implant patient is cremated. Precautions regarding the handling of cremated remains are suggested. Cremation can be performed safely at any time. 2001 American College of Medical Physics.
